If you are being chased, just run until they stop. Luckily you can run as quickly as they can. The boars will actively chase you if they see you. I would occasionally use it for picking up a vegetable because I didn't want to take the time to grown. For the last tasks of treating village people, you can buy the ingredients if desired. Also note that some ingredients are very expensive, such as rosemary and tickseed. You also can never buy prepared dishes or snake meat or tools, particularly the axe. You can pretty much buy anything except the ingredients for many of the tasks. On the map, he is the white star on the left in the village. Looking at the map does not stop the action. Blue means they don't need anything from you and are not available for interaction. Green means that you have completed the task and can return to them. Red means you are in the process of performing a task for them. Yellow means that they need to talk to you. When you hover over the star, the name will be visible.
