That should clear most misconceptions about how MO2 works. This can be a bit time consuming at first, but it is far easier method than with NMM, where loose file conflicts were always managed by order of installation.

Unless instructed otherwise, simply download the listed file using the Mod Manager Download button and install it through MO2. This is referring to the mods category on Nexus, the file name, and the file version. As always (with any tool), loose files will win all conflicts against archived ones (in BA2 files.) You will need to sort conflicts in left panel, if you have any loose file mods. When the guide says to install a mod, it will be formatted as follows: Main File - YUP - Base Game and All DLCs 12.0.

MO2 uses virtual Data folder for active profile. MO2 installs all mods as separate mod folders, under it's own installation. I would recommend using Portable option, but Instance does work.
